My wife and I had an amazing day exploring Costa Rica's Cartago province on our tour that included Irazu Volcano, the historic city of Cartago, the Orosi Valley with a delicious lunch, and the beautiful Lankester Botanical Gardens. The views at Irazu Volcano were breathtaking, my wife commented that it felt like standing on another planet. In Cartago, the Basilica de Nuestra Señora de los Angeles was very impressive. We appreciated having time in Cartago to shop for souvenirs. Lunch at the Orosi Valley was perfect with delicious Costa Rican food. We then visited the Church of San Jose de Orosi, built by Franciscans in the 1740’s, and finally, the Lankester Botanical Gardens with thousands of orchids in bloom, plus bromeliads, bamboo, and that peaceful Japanese section. A highlight for any plant lover. What made the whole day fantastic was our guide, Arlin, who was incredibly knowledgeable, enthusiastic, and made everything fun and informative. Highly recommend this tour for people wanting a mix of nature, culture, and great food. Easily a 5 out of 5 stars.

Road was closed to volcano, so had to pivot, still did the rest of the tour though. Highly recommend. Our guide Edgar, was top notch and made it even more memorable! Would do this tour again.
Die Tour war gut organisiert, die Guides freundlich (wobei der Fahrer kein Englisch sprach, dafür der Guide). Der Vulkan Irazu ist eher langweilig - die Kraterseen sind wohl schon länger ausgetrocknet und auch sonst ist es nicht recht sehenswert. Die Kirche in Cartago ist hübsch, wenn man gerne Kirchen ansieht.
We had a fantastic day with Eugenio from the 1st minute! Had some super stops along the way to La Paz Waterfalls & gardens, taking in some local coffee and great views, and then continuing up into the mountains sampling local cheese wine and strawberries. The experience at the wildlife centre was truly awesome with Eugenio giving us a great information about the different animals birds & reptiles and pointing out those who were hidden! The lunch available at the wildlife centre was very generous and the place is set in beautiful surrownds. After lunch we walked the waterfall trail through the beautiful rainforest to complete the tour, before heading back into San José. Overall a great day out and really happy we went! Recommended😊
Beautiful area with magnificent waterfalls. The wildlife area was nice as well - especially enjoyed seeing toucans. Our guide and driver were great. The buffet at the park was also very good. We enjoyed our visit and definitely recommend this tour
This is an excellent trip for anyone looking to get a taste of what Costa Rica has to offer. I particularly consider this tour perfect for long layovers in SJO as it gives you a sneak peak into what this country has to offer. Definitely recommend!
An enjoyable day out but sadly Irazu is not a place to visit when it is cloudy and overcast as you cannot see anything. Also I thought the trip was far too expensive for what was included.
We were so expressed. So well organized, the itinerary was perfectly done. The guide Harlem gave us detailed information. made us great photos and made the excursion unforgettable. Glad to acknowledge the guide, love the nature, the whole uncountable animal biodiversity. Also the lunch was so tasty with typical dishes. Our memories from Costa Rica will be connected with La Paz.
